Regenerate Backup codes

This feature allows users to regenerate a new set of backup codes for Two-Factor Authentication (TFA).

Backup codes can be used as an alternative authentication method when the user does not have access to their authenticator application. Each backup code can be used only once.

When backup codes are regenerated:

  • A new set of backup codes is generated
  • Previously generated backup codes are automatically invalidated
  • The new codes should be securely stored by the user

Users are advised to keep their backup codes as securely as their account password.
